Julia Dyson is a Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer practising at Wannops LLP having previously worked at Brighton and Hove firms for the last 20 years. Julia is able to advise on any aspect of family dispute including married couples; cohabiting couples or civil partnerships. She is accredited through Resolution as a specialist family lawyer and through the Law Society Family Law accreditation scheme. Julia believes that although family breakdown takes a huge toll on time, emotions and financial resources, Dispute Resolution provides an alternative, less adversarial approach which is more solution oriented. As a result Julia is keen to encourage all clients to consider using a Dispute Resolution process instead of going to Court. By using either Mediation or a Collaborative approach to discuss their family breakdown, Julia hopes that clients’ feel more in control of the outcome for their family and hopefully in turn minimise the acrimony that can result through a court based approach. Dispute Resolution is particularly helpful where the couple have children as their relationship continues after separation or divorce. If Julia can help couples achieve a good divorce/separation, then it is hoped that their children will benefit in the long-run.
Julia studied at London University and Westminster University and has been qualified since 1997 and has specialised in family law since then.
